This is a  Covid safe practicing salon with appointment visiting guidelines listed below.


* My name is Jennifer, I'm an independent salon owner,
 I'm the only staff in my shop since opening in 2014,
it's a safe controlled environment.

* This salon offers a one on one salon suite experience most of the time but in a full size salon.

*Also I sell my own hand made crochet items in my shop as of the new year of 2023, currently I have an large inventory of scarves for sale your welcome to come look at if you would like to come in earlier then your appointment time to browse for yourself or are thinking of gifting someone. 


Also, taking pictures of product & vaping are not allowed inside the salon.
If you are interested in a product I used on your hair
your welcome to come in to buy it from me another day  or i will order it for you instead of calling to ask what I used to purchase else where, I will no longer give product use  information over the phone just as colors formulas are not given to clients, awkward to discuss but important for me to express this to all visitors. Thank you for your understanding.

*The salon is open only  when clients are booked.

* Clients need to have an hair appointment or consult service scheduled
that are visiting the salon inquiring about services
that are  not walking in for a business card or purchase of goods sold.
See consultation price for consults only with out a hair appointment.

Your Experience
Come enjoy ear pleasing music,
a quiet  salon with a casual and relaxed setting in a modern stylish design, with  back wash sinks that adjust to your height, comfortable neck rest and upright support for your back and neck with an optional foot rest built into the chair while taking  time for yourself,
rejuvenating your look and leaving feeling great with an extra bounce in your step.

 My shampoo scrubs are invigorating.
 Salon 221 wants to give you a great comfortable visit and a place you would want to recommend to others after you visit . 
( Its all about you and not what is going on inside the salon).

There is street level parking in front of the salon with no time limit or restrictions. The salon is wheel chair accessible 
 but a client must be able to go from wheelchair seat to salon sink seat. The salon does not have a bathroom for a wheelchair.

Covid Visiting Guidelines    5/18/2020


If  You Are Sick  / Or Positive With The Covid Virus

*Clients cannot come in for an appointment until they have 2 negative covid tests that are 48 hours apart after a covid virus case.

*You must be covid negative to come to an in person appointment.

*You cannot come in 10 days from symptoms with a positive covid case.

*Clients will need to rebook (14 days)  2 weeks out no less from canceling for a new appointment and not 10 days from symptoms. 


If you have  any sort of cold or flu like symptom, 
cancel your appointment and try to provide 24 hours notice  so I can refill the service slot. If you're bringing someone and have symptoms  pick up and drop off is required. 


  Masking  /  Bring your own mask & mask before entering.
It must fit snug & stay up over your nose while talking 
suitable for all services being received.
There is no end date  to masking, always wear one .

The policy has never changed.
You may not take your mask down while talking inside.


Bringing Someone 
If you are not bringing someone who is receiving  a service with you,

when your not receiving a service please wait in the reception area, not in a styling chair next to stylist.

About The Salon
The door is open for ventilation whenever possible
& 2 doors open when the weather permits witch makes a beautiful cross breeze and feels like we are cutting outdoors.  
I have 3 air purifiers inside when the doors are closed.
           It's nice and cool in the salon in the summer, and warm winter.

About The Owner
 Jennifer is the owner of salon 221, opening the doors in 2014 and has been in the industry for 18 years. She is shoal practitioner of the salon and works alone. She has a reputation on delivering the exact result your looking for.
She is a long time resident while growing up in Arlington.
She provides a stress free, relaxing setting allowing her to be consistent in her work with no distractions, doesn't overbook or make you wait each time you come, its really all about you when coming while not having to entertain many relationships in the room at one time.

​She has many cutting techniques and tools for all hair types.
She is thorough in consulting,  detail oriented and wants to create long term value  between services with her work and a good relationship with clients that hopefully you  both are suited for one another is equally important to her.

To her it is important to listen to the client's needs.
She likes to take her time washing hair. 
She offers a cut only option for those who are on a budget or want to stay away from heat. She is great at helping clients grow out grey or short hair. 
​She has recently modified her salon services to what she really loves to do that is not damaging to your hair or over priced multi layer services that are too damaging to the hair, that also keep you in the salon longer then you want to be .

Her goal is to keep your hair in great condition while coming to her.
She isn't afraid to say no to a service  that will damage the integrity of your hair or that might not work for you for the long term and not just do services for the income.
​Jennifer wants to make sure your experience is a good one every time and doesn't over work herself so she can give her best to everyone.

     *  Please specify cut only or cut with blow dry when scheduling. 
     *  The time slot booked  is  for the service requested. 
     *  Blow dries cannot be added on at the appointment  time
         if they were  not prescheduled. 
     *  Additional clients can be added to the schedule if you don't

     *  Servicing age 4 and up for hair cutting, 13 & up for color.
     *  Clients need to come with brushed out tangle free hair to  receive service  to stay in the            time slot provided to receive the service  that blocked off for that time slot.

Late Cancellation- Late On Arrival - No Show- No Mask  


Please provide  24-hour prior notice of your appointment
to make any changes and avoid 50% fee of the total service booked for
*late cancellation    *late on arrival    *no show fee    *no mask . 

Fee applies due to holding your income service slot
while turning other clients away  & unable to refill the slot without 24 hour prior notice to do so. fee must be paid prior to rescheduling by check or cash.


Clients that are receiving the service, need to call to book their own appointment that are able to. Whomever books the appointment would  be responsible for late fee and paying prior to rebooking any future hair appointments with the salon  as of 9/11/22

Salon Policies & Proper Etiquette 
 *  Please be considerate when scheduling, canceling, masking and following                                  visiting guidelines. 

​*  
Scheduling  includes double booked  color clients were they fit together so please check into the salon to start at the time provided. 

* If your late it's not a guarantee that I can take you and a late arrival/late            cancelation  fee will apply with needing to reschedule, paid prior to reschedule. Thank you for your consideration & understanding. 
                     
This generally adds stress to myself while working, interferes with others appointments, customer service, work performed and why I do not squeeze clients in, so I can  provide a  stress-free and  relaxing service to each client each and every time you come.  Customer service while working on clients  is very important to me. 


Age 4 & Up
 Due to the risk of cutting myself or someone else, 
Children 4 & up need to be able to sit without physical support and  can keep their head straight on their own to safely receive service .
Social distancing staying 6 feet apart will need to be practiced while stylist is working on young children. It is not recommended to bring small kids to the salon that cannot sit unattended for 40 to 50 minutes and longer.


  Hair Cut Adjustments & Charges
Requesting to change the length shorter then what your received and were satisfied with  when you left will be a new appointment and service fee for that service and full time slot, Blow dry will not be included without scheduling for it.
    

Protecting Your Clothing
The salon offers client gowns to change into, and is not responsible for  damaged clothing. You may  bring a shirt to change into. While your service is being performed its best to keep your arms  under the protective chemical cape to avoid your sleeves from getting product on them. Please arrive early if you need to change, use the restroom.

Salon 221 reserves the right to terminate a client & stylist relation ship for any reason.
